UPDATE: Beloit Man Arrested for Child Pornography

A Beloit man - already facing sexual assault charges - is facing more trouble.
He will appear in court Thursday to answer to dozens of counts of possession of child pornography.
The investigation began in March with what initially looked like child enticement.
Adam Perkins was accused of sending sexually explicit text messages to several local 8th grade girls.
Rock County investigators ended up searching his Beloit home, recovering videotapes.
The criminal complaint says the tapes show Perkins having sex with a local girl.
In the complaint, he admits to having sex with her, beginning in 2006 when the girl was roughly 12-years-old.
The state crime lab has since taken a look at his seized computers, and investigators say they discovered numerous images and video of child pornography.
"This is worse than we're used to seeing... a lot of times you're seeing the older, closer to the adult age juveniles... but these are, again, infants... very young children," Capt. Todd Christiansen says.
Perkins is scheduled to appear to face the 36 counts of possession Thursday afternoon.
Earlier this year, he pleaded not guilty to several counts of sexual assault of a child...and other charges stemming from the initial investigation.

On November 17, 2009, Adam M. Perkins, dob: 10/26/72, of Beloit, Wisconsin, was arrested on 36 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Perkins was arrested on March 24, 2009, by Rock County Sheriff’s Office Detectives for 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Child Enticement, and Possession of Child Pornography. Perkins has been held at the Rock County Jail on a cash bond since his arrest.
A search warrant was executed at Perkins’ Beloit address in March 2009. Several computers that belonged to Perkins were seized during the search warrant. Those computers were then sent to the State Crime Lab for analysis.
Computer experts at the Crime Lab analyzed the computers. The Crime Lab analyst was able to recover numerous pictures and videos that were suspected to be child Pornography. Those images and videos were returned to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office in late September where Detectives continued their investigation.
Detectives reviewed the evidence and found numerous horrifically disturbing photographs and videos that contained images of adults engaged in sexual contact with infants and small children.
Perkins will continue to be held at the Rock County Jail and will appear at Jail Court on November 19, 2009, at 4 p.m. on these new charges.
Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
