UPDATE: Woman Reported Missing in Madison
UPDATED Monday, November 16, 2009 --- 3:20 p.m.
From UW Police:
The UW-Madison Police Department, along with the Dane County Coroner's Office, is conducting a death investigation after a body was discovered in the natural area adjacent to Picnic Point. The decomposed remains of a body were found by WU Grounds staff working in the area. There were no specific forms of identification found with the body.
Preliminary results of the investigation show that the individual died of an apparent self-inflicted injury. A specific time frame of the death has not yet been determined. However, it is believed to have occurred some time over this past summer to early fall.
The remains are that of a male of unknown race over the age of 40. The deceased was wearing wire rimmed glasses, a blue and gray gortex hooded spring jacket, a white cotton button shirt, tan colored cargo style shorts, and black Teva sandals.

Madison Police confirm the body of Pamela K. Clyde was found over the weekend. Her body was discovered in a wooded area off of Nekoosa Trail. Madison police do not suspect foul play.
Meanwhile, UW-Police are also investigating a body found Friday at Picnic Point. Details have not been released in this case.

Information from the Madison Police Department:
The Madison Police Department and Crime Stoppers need your help locating Pamela K. Clyde. Ms. Clyde also goes by the name of “Sydney or Jen” and has been missing from the Madison area since November 6, 2009. Clyde has not had contact with her family, friends or workplace during this time, which is unusual for her.
Madison Police are actively investigating this disappearance and are requesting the publics help in locating this person.
If you have information as to the whereabouts of Pamela Clyde or have seen her during this time period, please contact Crime Stoppers at 266-6014 or text “Dane” and your message to CRIMES (274637).
Individuals contacting Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
