For my first blog post I would like to talk about topic that is very near and dear to my heart. The Milwaukee Brewers.

For 26-years I have waited to see the Brewers make a playoff run. This year I was sure it would happen. Now not so much. Over the last few weeks I have watched the Boys in Brew go form having a solid lead in the wild card chase to now trailing the New York Mets by a half game. Needless to say I am heart broken.

I'm only 26 years old so that means in my lifetime I've never seen the Brewers in the playoffs. For 26-years I've said, "There is always next year."  I don't know if I'll be able to say that this year.

Both C.C. and Sheets will test the free agent market in the off season. More than likely we will lose one of the two. There's even a chance we could lose both. Then what? Who steps in? Lets be realistic the rest of our rotation is not that good. Yeah, we will get Yvonni back next year but he's yet to play a full season in the bigs. Who knows how good he will be.

With only a hand full of games left I'm starting to feel the same way I have for the last 26 seasons...depressed. I can't cheer any louder, or argue any more calls from my couch, or walk around cursing others who are from Wisconsin and are somehow fans of the Cubs (Sorry Cubs fans). I feel like there is no light at the end of tunnel. I think this was the Brewers best chance to make a run at it.

I'm sure I'm not the only Brewers fan who thinks this. So to the Brewers I say, "Please, find a way to get that wildcard." I don't care how you do it. Pitcher's duel, slug fests, whatever...just please make it happen. If you do I promise I'll never doubt you again.

You know, my birthday was Oct 4, I got tickets for Oct 5th and though they won on the 4th and lost on the 5th, I didn't care, they are my home team, the Brewers and to me, win or lose, they are still the best, because they are MY TEAM! And you know what? They still went further then the Cubs did.
