I'm going to save your (and my own) sanity, and write a non-Brett Favre related blog.

How about those Olympics, huh? I will admit, the hype leading up to the summer games did not have me the least bit interested. However, since the games have begun, I have been tuning in more than I expected.

I'm fascinated by the sport of fencing, find it unbelievable that handball is actually an Olympic sport, and am very intrigued to see if Michael Phelps can become the first American to win eight gold medals. With all the different sports airing at random times during the day, it really is the ideal for a true sports fanatic. This way, instead of watching Fresh Prince of Bel-Air re-runs on Nick at Nite at 2:00 in the morning, I can tune-in and catch an intense water polo or badminton match.

During the next two weeks, I will be the NBC-15 "official Olympic expert." I will be reporting on the latest highlights during the morning show, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, and late newscasts. Due to certain broadcasting regulations, we will be unable to show highlights of events that have happened that day until our late show. So that is why you might see photos of events during our earlier newscasts rather than the actual video.

Here is what I would like to know from you so I can keep you up-to-date on the latest Olympic action...

Not even close to being hooked on professionals getting paid to do amateur sports!!!!!!!

I really enjoy watching the gymnastics events--last night's women's team final was fun to watch. I also enjoy watching swimming and some of the beach volleyball. I could care less about soccer--just have never really gotten interested.

I could care less about swimming and polo(snooze fest!), would like to see soccer covered far more than it is --Olympic and otherwise. Soccer is really big in Dane Co and I hear lots of complaints about little to no coverage of the pros either.
