First of all, I have to ask: does anyone in I LOVE the NBA Draft, and coincidentally enough, it falls on June 25th this year, which also happens to be my birthday. For me, this week is sort of like Christmas week to a child. I am literally counting down the days until Thursday at Enough with my obsession. The Bucks own the 10th overall pick in the 1st round and the 41st pick in the second round. After last year’s miss on Joe Alexander with the eighth pick, The ideal situation would be for But this year is a point guard heavy draft in which as many as ten point guards could be picked in the first round. When it’s I am going to predict that the Bucks select Flynn in the first round. He seems like a Scott Skiles-type guy who plays hard on both ends of the floor. Flynn is a proven leader and could potentially be the long-term solution at point guard that Here is my favorite NBA Mock Draft on the web if you want to see who is predicted to go where: http://www.walterfootball.com/nbadraft2009mock.php |

This is well after the fact, but I think the Bucks have played exciting basketball this season, are in contention for a playoff spot, and just swung a very beneficial trade for John Salmons to compliment Brandon Jennings excellent point guard play. I was a fan of the old Bucks (Brian Winters, Sidney Moncreif, Bob Lanier, Marques Johnson, etc.) and the current Bucks, like those former Bucks, are beginning to show signs of consistency and competitiveness each night they take the floor. So, all-in-all, I believe that GM John Hammond and coach Scott Skiles are steering this team in the right direction. And the bottom line is "winning." Once that happens on a regular basis then the fan base will increase once again. Witness the sudden popularity of the Brewers who drew sparse crowds for years (a decade ) because they couldn't put a competitive product on the field. Posted by: Gary Location: Evansville Why should the public care about the Bucks when there owners, GM and anyone else there does not? Whats the big deal about the draft anyways? The Bucks will end up trading the person away if he is a decent player or lose him to free agency due to the fact that they are a small market and cannot afford the high priced players for any more than 2 years tops. I was a season ticket holder but until they show me that they are serious about building a team that can actually win over 50% of their games, I will not be a season ticket holder again. |
