What if Favre played for another team

I have a question for you. Do you love Brett Favre or the Green Bay Packers more? I should rephrase, if push came to shove who would you root for? It's a topic that was debated in our sports office last week when the rumor mill cranked up that Golden Brett was open to the idea of return to the NFL for another team.

Here's the issue:

If in a year from now Brett Favre came back to play in the NFL for and AFC team and led that franchise to the Super Bowl and as luck would have it the team that stood in Favre's way from winning another Super Bowl was... the Green Bay Packers who would you be rooting for on Super Sunday?

I have to say I've been surprised by the answers that people have given me. I'll reveal my feelings later but first I want to hear from you. Who do you cheer for and why?

Who really would care if he went to another team? You know that if he did he would get injured and that would be it,, another athlete trying to stick it out to long and paying the price,,, hang them up for good Brett you are not God or the Golden boy says you are!

it doesn't even matter. he only dreams that he could have the athletic ability of michael vick. if the packers cared at all about winning they would invest in him.

i think that its just annoying. i mean yea he is good but how long has he been saying hes gonna retire? TOO LONG! You cant ever believe an answer until the next season starts. i'm sorry i like brett farve but people just need to wait and see. its up to him. just leave it be for now.

I love Brett Favre and love watching him play, but my loyalty would have to stay with the Packers. Brett Favre in anything but green & gold just wouldn't be Brett Favre!

Who cares! He is over rated! Yes he is the greatest QB....in statistics. Not even in the top ten for GREATEST all-time though. I am so sick of hearing about his "retirement". He has been talking about it since way back after he won his only Super Bowl. Hope he does come back somewhere and flops. Retire already old man!!

Robb, great question... it would depend on how Favre went to the other team... if he was not wanted back by Green Bay, I would lean towards rooting for Favre... if he decided to come back and NOT play for the Pack, then I would be a little upset with Mr. Favre and probably pull for the Pack... It might be different for me because my love for Favre helped lead me to my love of the Pack... good thing this is a scenario that we will NEVER have to worry about...

The Packers.. no question. I have been a Packer fan for 40 years (has it been that long?) Favre or no Favre, they still are my team.
