We just learned that WXOW-TV in La Crosse permanently signed off their channel 19 analog station on Saturday, April 18th.  Why is this good news?  Because what shows up on your TV set as channel 15.1 digital is actually broadcast on channel 19.  So the interference between channel 19-Madison and 19-La Crosse is now gone.

Here's a really lame analogy...For viewers with large antennas who live between Madison and La Crosse, it was like trying to listen to music in your house while a car with bass blasting out its subwoofers comes up your street.  The car is now gone.

So if you're in, say, the Reedsburg area or closer to La Crosse, try rescanning your converter box or digital TV with your antenna aimed at Madison.  You may see us again.

In the meantime, we are still working on the process of increasing our power and getting the digital broacast antenna higher on the tower.

I just moved to northern Baraboo and I have no signal for NBC. The only TV shows I watch are on NBC and I can't get it to come in. PLEASE make the signal stronger soon. I miss the news and my shows!!

Up until about June 1, Channel 15-1 & -2 were perfect, now "no signal". What gives?

I've been trying real hard to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs but had a hard time picking up your channel. Last night, I came home from a trip, turned on your channel and it was much much better. Hope it holds up for tonights game! I live 3 miles south of Mauston, antenna up on a little hill.

Since you have changed from analog to digital there are days that we can not watch you show on tv. There are also time during the day that we can watch your channel when the weather is bad. Today June 8th we could not watch the morning show, news at 11:00, Rachael Ray Show at 3:00. This not just on one television set either we have several in the house. We have a 50" tv that was set for the change, and in our kitchen we have a convert box. I have also called others in the area and they have the same problem. We recieve a black screen and the statement digit channel signal system is low. I have also called on this several times.

When you first switched to digital we had a pretty good signal from you witha combination antenna and a converter. WKOW was probably our weakest. WMTV has gotten progressively worse. When WKOW increased power we started getting a beautiful signal from them. We now get the "weak signal" most of the time from you. When will the increased power and height take place? It's been a struggle out here for those of us who aren't willing to spend $70 a month for a dish. Thanks for any help.

I have lost you. About a week ago the signal quit and I can no longer find your channel. I have rescanned and no luck. What's up?

I guess this could be why I noticed this weekend I was having a little better luck with the signal (but still having drop outs... Hey, it's a step in the right direction! Once the power is increased as well as the antenna height, it should be all good and then I'll have all the Madison stations all the time! Thanks Tom for the update.

UPDATE: I just heard from a viewer who lives between Viroqua and Readstown in Vernon County who did the rescan and now sees 15.1 and 15.2 just fine. He's about 75 miles from our tower. (But up on a ridge, that helps!)
