Many people are calling NBC15 News to find out how they can help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. We are providing this list of fund raisers and agencies you can contribute to.

American Red Cross

The Red Cross is urgently in need of financial contributions to its Disaster Relief Fund, which is critically low. All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. Citizens can help the victims of Hurricane Katrina and thousands of other disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need. Salvation Army

Until we know what the specific needs for the Mississippi Delta area hurricane Katrina victims are, The Salvation Army is accepting monetary donations.

Governor Doyle Details How Wisconsin Citizens Can Help Hurricane Katrina Victims

Governor Jim Doyle detailed today the relief organizations that Wisconsin citizens can contact to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The easiest way for the citizens of Wisconsin to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina is to donate money to be used in the rescue effort through the following organizations:

Emergency Clinic for Animals is sponsoring a drive to collect much needed pet supplies for the animal victims of the hurricane. They will be sending members of our staff to deliver what we have collected, as well as care for the injured and displaced animals on Sept. 25. I am attaching a flyer that we are using that lists some of the many items that are needed. These items will also be used to help care for search and rescue animals being used there.
