Police say a man is exposing himself to children near Frank Allis Elementary school. It happened on Buckeye Road in Madison.

March 27th, police say a man exposed himself to a 9 year old girl while she was walking to school. Now, there's another occurrence. Madison police say students were getting off a bus at Frank Allis Elementary school, Monday, when a man drove past the bus and exposed himself. Police say they've stepped up patrols in the area. Both exposures happened between eight-fifteen and eight-thirty in the morning. Those who live in the neighborhood say it's a quiet, friendly, and family oriented neighborhood, so they're obviously concerned about this crime.

"There are a lot of children in this neighborhood and with the school being right down there, sure, absolutely, it's something to be aware of and now that I do know I will obviously keep myself more aware," said Cheryl Schiltz, who lives in the neighborhood.

"I'm just glad I found out about it, I think it's pretty isolated so I know we'll get it worked out, but that's pretty scary, yeah," said Robert Christianson, who lives near the school and has children.

Here's what police know about the flasher. He's described as a white man in his 30's. He's bald and was wearing a bandanna and driving a grey or silver pickup truck. If you have information, call police.

Police say the Madison school district did send home information to parents about both of the exposure incidents.

Exposing yourself is a sign of mental illness. It does not have anything to do with crime and is not specific to any particular race. Unfortunately, perverts sometimes kill their victims. Let's all just work together and catch the creep!

I think it is time for us to get off of race when dealing with crime. In this day and age there is no stereotyping any type of crime. They are committed by every race! And it can even happen in the rich neihborhoods!! No one is exempt from crime! I'm tired of hearing "oh this is a good neighborhood"things like this don't happen here! No one is exempt from crime!

As opposed to what kind of trash? Are we separating ourselves by race again? I thought that problem was fixed. I'm confused, now white people are being discriminated against? The more things change, the more they stay the same, think about it.

Hey, maybe they should request the help of the mounted police from State Street! They could rope the pervert and trample the children. I be the police presence and good view from the top of the horse will help! HA!
