Lil, sounds to me like you could use some grammar skills. I was born and raised here myself. I hope YOU don't have kids to pass your "value of education" to.

Whether or not they are from Chicago they ALL got what they deserved. The only thing better than some jail time would be automatic death.

Anon-you criticize Madison schools, but they are fantastic compared to most others in the country. Staff development is a vital piece of keeping all school staff connected and up-to-date. We need to be thankful for the excellent schools we have here rather than criticize them anonymously.

Unfortunately, "Mom", gang members aren't always from Chicago. There are many affluent "whitebred" Madisonian kids joining & forming gangs. Check out Dane County's Gang Task force and attend one of Det Joel's gang task force presentations. Check out http://www.ci.madison.wi.us/police/gangfaqs.html

Why would you ship that back to chicago? This article doesnt have any mention of chicago! What they need to do is charge them as adults, just like they are doing to the group of girls that did a similar thing down in FL.

I work right next to this transfer point. My question is.. Why were these kids NOT in school? I see young people out there all hours of the school day. If this is an constant issue, why isn't there a truant officer around to pick them up for not being in school. There should also be an officer around after school as I have noticed many many fights right around the end of the school day.

Was this related to the incident at the east transfer point on Monday...? Saw about 50 kids chasing 1 boy. Scared the little ones I was walking with. 4 squads arrived shortly thereafter.
