From Madison Police:

On Tuesday afternoon, shortly after 5:00 p.m., a 33-year old Fitchburg mother reported a suspicous man had conversed with her daughters after the girls went to purchase ice cream at McDonald's on Park Street.

The woman was inside a nearby store, and had allowed her children to walk over for the treat.

The older daughter said they were in the McDonald’s driveway when a man in a white car stopped and asked if they wanted a ride home.

The eldest daughter politely said no. The man then started asking where their mother was, and were they sure they did not want a ride.

The 10-year old said this scared her because he was trying to get them to go with him. She ran, with her sister, to tell their mother what happened.

Suspect Description:

Male, black, 40's, thin-build, bald, facial stubble, wearing white long-sleeved shirt, and driving a four-door, white car with a black stripe - probably a plastic strip - that extended from front to rear wheel.
