Incident Report from Madison Police Department:

Early Sunday morning, around 3:40 a.m., a burglary suspect was arrested after entering an apartment in the 1000 block of East Wilson Street. The suspect was located by police outside of the building, where he was being confronted by an apartment resident, and the resident’s overnight guest. The guest, a 24-year old man from Amery WI, said he heard the patio door blinds rustling, and awoke to someone pointing a flashlight in his face. The burglar fled the residence, where it was later determined several items were missing. The suspect had the stolen items when victims found him outside of another apartment. Police were on the scene moments later. The suspect claimed he got into the wrong apartment, and that he was looking for a friend.
