Madison Police investigating 2 separate robberies and a residential burglary.

Incident Reports from the Madison Police Department:
On Monday afternoon, a Madison man returned to his home in the 40 block of North Mills Street shortly after 3:30 p.m., and discovered a burglar was inside his residence. The thief (see description) ran out a patio door as the victim entered. He had stolen a couple of laptop computers, and had gained entry by kicking in a door.
Suspect: Male, white, brown shoulder length hair wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a black and red backpack.

On Tuesday morning, at 12:45 a.m., a 21-year old Madison man called for police after being robbed at knifepoint. The victim said he was walking in the 700 block of Northport Drive when a man approached asking for change for a $5 bill. The victim pulled some money from his pocket, and then saw the robber had a knife in his hand. He told the victim to, "Give it up," and the victim gave the man his money. The thug was last seen running near the intersection of Northport Drive and Kennedy Road. A police dog tracked the robber's scent to a nearby apartment complex, but no suspect was found.
Suspect: Male, black, 25 years old, 6'2", 160 lbs., dark complexion wearing a black skullcap, light gray zip-up jacket (no hood), and dark jeans.

On Tuesday night, around 8:00 p.m., Madison Police were dispatched to Paradise Liquors, 3179 Muir Field Road, following an armed robbery. The gunman (he had a handgun) demanded money and jumped into a getaway van: described as being dark blue or dark green and of 90's vintage. It appeared someone else was in the driver's seat.
Suspect: Male, 5'8", 200 lbs., wearing a black poncho with hood, black jacket, black stocking cap, black gloves, black pants, and an older looking dark gray - almost black - hockey mask. He had a deep voice.
