CrimeTracker 15: Arrest for 5th OWI after Crash
Man arrested for his fifth OWI offense after crashing into a tractor. INSIDE: Information from the Dane County Sheriff's Office.

Information from the Dane County Sheriff's Office:

At 8:14 p.m. Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, Dane Police, and Waunakee Fire and EMS, responded to a vehicle vs. tractor crash on State Highway 113, one half mile north of Ripp Lane, in the Town of Vienna.

A red Mercury Villager minivan operated by Thomas W. Schmitz, age 50, of Middleton, was traveling south on STH 113 when he rear-ended an International farm tractor pulling a trailer. There were no injuries from the crash. Schmitz was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 5th Offense and cited for Following Too Close. Schmitz was booked into the Dane County Jail.

perhaps the 4 dui's occured over 20 years?

Surprised, I'm sure he doesn't have a valid license. Do you really think people need a piece of paper that allows them to drive? NO. They just get in the car and drive.
