Incident Report from the Madison Police Department:

On Tuesday afternoon citizens alerted authorities to a milk truck that was driving erratically between Sun Prairie and Madison. A Madison Police Traffic Enforcement Safety Team (T.E.S.T.) officer spotted the cab/tanker rig on the West Beltline Highway. It was full of milk, and the officer said the driver was weaving: using "all three lanes". He said it was clear rush-hour motorists were leery of the milk truck as they were holding back behind the tanker. The T.E.S.T. officer pulled the diver over near Fish Hatchery Road. He had a partially consumed bottle of vodka, a six-pack of beer that was missing four cans, and a four-pack of malt liquor in the cab. The Texas resident said he was working for a Missouri company: delivering milk from Wisconsin to New Mexico. He was taken to jail.

Arrested Harry Carl Mapps, age 55, Dimmitt Texas
Mr. Mapps was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.

He won't get punished in Wisconsin? Really? I kinda doubt that. Something tells me he won't be going back to Texas behind the wheel of anything, much less a big rig, and his chain wallet will be a helluva lot lighter to boot. I hope people realize that truckers like this guy are the exception and not the rule. One bad apple doesn't have to spoil the bunch.

Wow is right! We have way to many of our own idiots traveling on the beltline to have to worry about drunk drivers in milk trucks! Send this guy back to Texas where he MIGHT just get a punishment. Because he obviously won't get one here in Wisconsin!

I agree, wow. We are lucky it was milk and nothing flammable he was hauling.
