Update from the Fitchburg Police Department:

Through the continued investigation of this incident, Fitchburg Police have arrested Ieshia S. Fox, age 23, of Fitchburg. Fox has been booked into the Dane County Jail and tentatively charged with First Degree Reckless Injury While Armed. Detectives determined a disturbance took place between Fox and the stabbing victim at an apartment in the 1900 block of Greenway Cross. During the disturbance, Fox stabbed the victim once. Fox and the victim are acquainted with one another.

Press Release from Fitchburg Police Department:

On November 26, 2009, at about 7:28PM Fitchburg Police responded to the 1900 block of Greenway Cross for a report of a 23-year-old female vomiting in the hallway of an apartment complex.

On arrival, officers found the female to have a stab wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

She is in critical yet stable condition.

No suspects have been identified.
