MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Democratic state Rep. Chris Taylor, of Madison, says she will not run for attorney general.
Taylor said Thursday she reached her decision not to seek the open seat because she loves her job as a state representative and there is critical work to be done in that area.
As of now there are only two announced candidates planning to run for the seat being vacated by Republican J.B. Van Hollen.
Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel, a Republican, and state Rep. Jon Richards, a Milwaukee Democrat, have both announced.
Van Hollen announced Oct. 7 that he would not be seeking a third term.
