MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker is writing a memoir titled "Unintimidated: A Governor's Story and a Nation's Challenge."
The Sentinel imprint of Penguin Group announced Tuesday that Walker is writing the book with Marc Thiessen, former chief speechwriter for President George W. Bush. The book is tentatively scheduled for release late this year.
The publishing company says in the announcement Walker will detail the reforms he enacted in Wisconsin, including stripping most public workers of nearly all their collective bargaining powers, a move that sparked historic protests at the state Capitol in Madison.
The book marks another attempt by Walker to raise his national profile. He has said running for president in 2016 is "an option."
