Recall Election: Barrett Says Race Tightening, Dead Heat

PORTAGE, Wis. (AP) -- Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett says he thinks the recall race against Republican Gov. Scott Walker is now a dead heat heading into Tuesday's election.

An exuberant Barrett spoke to about 100 of his volunteers in Portage in one of several stops he made on the final day of campaigning before the recall vote.

Barrett says the recall effort started as a grass roots movement and it's going to end that way with turnout of his supporters being the key factor that he believes will lead him to victory.

Barrett says the election is about the middle class reclaiming the future of Wisconsin.

Polls show a tight race. Walker said during a tour of a plastics plant in Fitchburg Monday morning that he also expected the outcome to be close.

Dead heat would be incorrect. The race wasn't even close. Maybe if the Dem's had picked a stronger canidate they could have ousted Scott Walker, instead they picked a man WI rejected the first time around.

I hope everyone who signed the recall petition shows up at the polls so we can throw this buffoon out of office!
