MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Sept. 11 terrorist attacks have become a major issue in Wisconsin's tight Senate race, with Republican Tommy Thompson's spot questioning Democrat Tammy Baldwin's patriotism. Baldwin is firing back with her own ad calling Thompson's a disgrace.

Thompson's spot, aired Tuesday, attacks Baldwin for voting against a resolution in 2006 honoring victims of the terrorist attacks. Baldwin voted for similar resolutions nine times, but didn't in 2006 because the resolution contained endorsements of other Republican policies that Baldwin opposed.

In her response ad on Wednesday, a narrator calls Thompson's ad a disgrace. It then attacks Thompson for making $3 million from Logistics Health, a company he led that was criticized for how it handled reimbursements to 9/11 responders.
