Walker Recall Focus Of Republicans At Convention

Posted Saturday, May 12, 2012 --- 9:15 a.m.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin state Sen. Alberta Darling is kicking off the state Republican Party convention by saying Gov. Scott Walker will survive a June 5 recall and continue what she calls the "Wisconsin revolution."

Republicans are gathering Saturday in Green Bay for their annual convention that is largely focused on the recalls targeting Walker and five others.

Darling survived a recall attempt last year. She calls all the Republicans who supported Walker's budget, including its collective bargaining restrictions, are heroes. She says their actions prevented massive layoffs.

The recalls were largely motivated by Walker's measure that effectively ended collective bargaining rights for public workers.

Walker and other Republicans are scheduled to speak later Saturday.

Actually, he did not balance it. Last we all have heard, there is still over 3 billion that he re-bonded out. For those ignorant people like you, that means we will still have to pay that money back, plus interest. He has not balanced a budget, he still admits to running a deficit. He GUTTED over 850 Million from our kids education and future all. All he has accomplished is give his campaign donors big pay raises over previous holders; those without and job skills. He has cut taxes for the rich for them to pay back to him in increased donations, and cut services, shred the constitution, commit illegal activities, and start a legal defense fund - all before even getting charged with a crime (hasn't been charged yet). You keep posting your "I stand with a Criminal" sign in your yards. Then once he finally goes to jail, you can cry how it was all done by the liberal media. It's sad that you can vote.

This is why Walker will win - again! * He balanced Wisconsin's $3.6 billion deficit on time, without the billions in tax increases or massive layoffs seen in other states. * Because of his reforms, state and local governments have already saved over $848 million. * School districts now have the ability to hire and fire based on merit and pay for performance - keeping the best and brightest teaching our kids and grandkids. * Wisconsin saw a decrease in statewide school property taxes for the first time since 2006. Thank you Governor Walker!
