VIDEO REPORT: Warning to Leave Political Signs Alone

Posted: Thursday, October 25, 2012 --- 9:00p.m.

Police in Darlington are warning residents via facebook to leave political signs alone. Some say it's a proactive approach to keep the peace. Police want residents to respect others' political views.

Jason King has been with the Darlington Poilce Deparment for 18 years. It's the first time in his career that he's seen a political climate like now. "We've noticed an increase in behavior that perhaps is not that becoming of the small town people of Darlington," King says.

The problem is the political signs, they're every where you look. Those signs are being damaged and stolen. So, he's turned to social media. He put a message on the department's facebook page, warning residents to respect each others property.
