Angie's Tortilla Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Jalapenos (adjust according to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tbs oil
  • 2 lbs stew meat
  • 2 14oz tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 10oz Rotel tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1 10oz beef broth
  • 1 10 3/4oz chicken broth
  • 1 10 3/4 oz tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 10 3/4oz cans of water
  • 1 tsp cumin, ground
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (adjust according to taste)
  • 1 1/2 tbs tobasco sauce (adjust according to taste)
  • 4-6 tortillas torn into 1-2 inch squares
  • Cheddar cheese and sour cream

    Directions

    1. Saute first four ingredients in large kettle



    2. Add remaining ingredients except tortillas, cheese and sour cream



    3. Simmer for 50 minutes. Add tortillas and cook for 10 minutes



    4. Serve with cheddar cheese and sour cream
