Amy Carlson Shares Her Recipe For Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

Cream together:

½ c butter

½ c shortening

1 c sugar

Beat in thoroughly:

2 eggs

Sift together:

2 c flour

1 t baking soda

1 t salt

Add alternately with the dry ingredients:

1 c sour cream

1 t vanilla

Topping mix

½ c sugar

1/3 c brown sugar

½ t cinnamon

1 c chopped nuts (I use walnuts or pecans)

Directions

Spread half of the batter in a greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle on half of the topping mix. Spread the remaining batter and top with the rest of the topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
