Apple Roll


  • 2 pie crusts (commercial is fine)
  • 3 cups peeled, chopped apples
  • cinnamon to taste

    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 1 stick butter
    • 2 cups water

      Bring to boil and cook until sugar is dissolved. Set aside.


Roll out pastry to desired thickness. Spread apples over pastry evenly and roll up jelly-roll style and seal ends. Repeat with other crust.
Carefully place rolls side by side in 9"X13" baking dish. Slice pastry in 1" sections almost to bottom of roll being sure to leave roll intact. Pour sauce over rolls. Sprinkle cinnamon over rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
