Wisconsin to receive $3 million in drug settlement with Merck

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin has received $3 million as part of a national settlement with a drug manufacturer.

Wisconsin, 48 other states and the District of Columbia reached the deal with Merck & Co. this month. It settled allegations that the company failed to pay rebates due to the Medicaid program on the sale of the drugs Zocor, Vioxx and Pepcid.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen says most of Wisconsin's share of the money will go to reimburse state Medicaid.
