Jaimie Kossack is hoping her daughter beats her tough battle with cancer, after her 17 year-old daughter Leanna was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. “ I don’t want to have to say goodbye to my daughter,”said Kossack.
The large tumor wrapped around Leanna’s lower spine is not responding to radiation or chemotherapy.
Kossack says she is now looking at taking her daughter to out of state facilities that specialize in dealing with rare types of cancer. The family set up a benefit fund to help with costs the family’s insurance can’t cover.
Jamie also created the Leanna Kossack Foundation on Facebook, to help others diagnosed with a rare form of cancer share their stories.
