Driver suffers seizure, crashes through wall of school
FREEDOM, Wis. (AP) -- Classes are expected to go on as usual this week at an Outagamie County school, even after a driver reportedly suffered a seizure and crashed through the wall of a hallway.
Police say the driver appears to have suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened around noon on Sunday. Authorities say an 8-foot hole in the wall has been boarded up for now.
According to The Post-Crescent newspaper of Appleton, it happened at Freedom School near an old gym that houses middle school and high-school physical-education classes.
School superintendent Lois Cuff says police told her the driver was in his mid-60s, and probably hit the accelerator when he suffered the seizure.
