Madison is once again being put on the map. This time through a local business'. website.

BOP is located near State Street downtown Madison, but the store also has a website called shopbop.com. The trendy shop and it's website are creating a buzz. In the November issue of Lucky magazine shopbop.com is recognized for it's fashion sense for young designers. "I think they picked us just because we stand out from the crowd from a lot of the other online boutiques and stuff out there because of our wide selection of designers. We tend to cherry pick some of the new designers out there that people aren't looking at and we put the spotlight on them which is great for the new designers and great for us," said Mollie Milano, BOP's store manager and buyer.

The magazine says the site features young designers which gives consumers an edge on new clothing. The honor also means good things for fashion forward Madisonians. "The people of Madison, you know this is a town in Wisconsin, not what a lot of people would call the fashion hub of the United States so for Madison for us to get that honor in Lucky Magazine you know all the people that get to come here just have to drive 5 or 10 minutes and experience all the designers and brands that they wouldn't normally see in a small town," explained Milano.

The store near State Street doesn't feature everything that's on the website--simply for space reasons. The clothing found at BOP is tailored more to Madison consumers, where shopbop.com has a wide range of designers.
