A 12-year-old was taken into custody, and a man was arrested in connection to a knife incident.
Blue Mounds Police was dispatched to the 3000 block of Mounds View Road in the village of Blue Mounds for a domestic disturbance involving a subject with a knife.
Information was received that someone was being held at knife point, and the victim was being advised to not provide any info to the 911 center. Police arrived and located a suspect that was resisting and failing to obey lawful orders.
Mt. Horeb police also came and were able to take the suspect into custody. The suspect was found to be a 12-year-old male.
Approximately 5:47 p.m., Dane County along with Mt. Horeb police located another person that stated he was armed with a knife. The second suspect was ordered to the ground at gun point due to the original call that he had a knife. The suspect was handcuffed, but attempted to flee from officers. He ended up injuring himself from running.
The suspect was treated at the scene and was not transported to the hospital. Multiple knives were taken from the residence as evidence.
The 12-year-old was transported to Dane County Juvenile Reception, and is being held on charges of recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed and resisting arrest. The adult male was arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was taken to Dane County Jail.
