(Madison) - An elderly woman who was sexually assaulted at an assisted living center files a lawsuit against the facility.

The 84–year old woman says Madison's Meriter Terraces failed to provide adequate security. Her lawsuit alleges employees at the center were negligent when they left a door unlocked on May 26–th of last year. Court records indicate this is when 41–year old John–L Young entered the building, walked into the woman's unlocked room and raped her.
He also tried to rape a Meriter Terrace employee.

Young was sentenced to a minimum of 41 years in prison in September after pleaded guilty to six charges related to the case.
