Police Officer Finds Body of Missing Janesville Man

A missing 48-year-old Janesville man who was last seen over a week ago has been found.

An off-duty Janesville police officer walking his dog found the frozen body of Wesley Wagner last night. The body was found about three blocks from Wagner's home.

An autopsy is planned but police reported no obvious trauma to the body or signs of foul play.

Wagner last was seen alive January 21st, when a large snowstorm hit the area.

That's when officers were called for a report of Wagner knocking on someone's door.

Police reported that Wagner seemed confused and was wearing wet clothes.

Police say he had fallen earlier that night and had been treated at a hospital for a head injury.

Police made sure that Wagner got home and into warm, dry clothes, and Wagner told them he'd stay there.
