Beloit police a looking for the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of a 25-year-old man.
Authorities say Marco Antonio Munoz–Solis was shot multiple times on the 1300 block of Nelson Avenue just before midnight Sunday.
He reportedly died a few hours later at a local hospital.
Police say Munoz–Solis had been in the Beloit–area for some time prior to his death. They are looking for anyone who may have either seen, or accompanied Munoz–Soliz.
Authorities say right now the community should not be alarmed.
“We don't believe there an armed killer out there around. But clearly it's always a concern to us when there's somebody out there who has committed a violent act and has not yet been apprehended,” says Cpt. William Tyler of the Beloit Police Department.
An autopsy is planned in Madison Monday morning.
