Two Dozen Homeless After Beloit Apartment Fire

25 people are homeless and a quarter–million dollars worth of damage is left in the wake of a Beloit apartment fire.

Fire officials say the blaze began just before eight Saturday night in the basement of a building located on Colony Court.

Crews from several surrounding fire departments provided assistance.

Officials say they are still investigating the cause.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries.

The Red Cross is assisting displaced residents.
