WI Meat Processor Recalls 123,000 lbs of Beef

Video will be available shortly.

A Wisconsin meat processor is recalling thousands of pounds of beef.

Emmpak Foods says 123,000 pounds of ground beef may have been contaminated with hydraulic fluid at its Milwaukee plant.

According to the company, most of the meat was shipped to retail distributors in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana.

About 22,000 pounds also went to Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

The one-pound packages are marked with the sell-by dates of January 31st, february 1st, and February 2nd.

The code on the packages is EST 20654. It's located on the USDA inspection mark.

The same Milwaukee plant recalled nearly one-half million pounds of ground beef in September of 2002 for fear it may be connected to E-Coli outbreaks.
