Lands' End Cuts Jobs in Dodgeville, Cross Plains

Video will be available shortly.

Lands' End says a restructuring of business operations is going to cost hundreds of people their jobs.

The Dodgeville based company says a total of 375 jobs will be lost, including a signifiacant number of jobs in Dodgeville. Monday, the company announced it is closing its Cross Plains contact center, leaving nearly 200 full and part-time employees out of work.

The company says the move is necessary due to a shift in how people shop. Officials say online and retail shopping has increased, decreasing the number of phone calls the company handles.

Lands' End says its phone centers in Dodgeville, Reedsburg, and Stevens Point will remain open.
