(AP) The UW-Madison athletic department wants to spend two-million dollars more to finish the Camp Randall Stadium renovation.

The University says the additional money will come from donations to the athletic department, not taxpayer funding.

Facilities Vice Chancellor Alan Fish says a contingency fund had been depleted after unforeseen expenses arose. The additional money will replenish that fund.

The total cost of the renovation has now reached $109 million.

Fish says they hope to get approval from the Board of Regents next week to spend the additional money so the renovations will be done by the start of the fall football season.

It's the second budget increase for the project in the last year. The athletic department got approval to spend nearly $8 million more on the project last May.
