Traffic is moving again on the beltline, after a fatal crash Thursday evening.

Authorities say Debra Callies, 51, was killed after a semi drove over the car she was in. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

The crash happened during rush hour traffic on the westbound beltline near the South Towne exit.

Officials say the semi driver had been looking in his mirrors to change lanes, when he noticed traffic had stopped in front of him and ran over the back end of a car.

The initial accident also led to a chain reaction collision involving at least five other vehicles. Officials say no one else was seriously injured.

Westbound lanes were closed for several hours while authorities investigated.

It's not known if the semi driver will face any citations.
