Wisconsin's Army National Guard takes time out to honor a few of its finest.
The Guard's Hall of Honor Induction ceremony took place Sunday. The distinction is bestowed upon those who've made strong and lasting contributions to the Army National Guard. It is the highest form of recognition a member of the guard can earn.
Guest speakers say the Guard members comprise a legacy of leaders…but one recipient had only a modest response to the honor. Colonel Ernest Gerber told NBC15 there are many others who deserve the honor and he wished they were able to be at the ceremony as well.
In all, three Guard members were inducted.
