Community members came together Thursday to find a way to end or reduce homelessness in Madison.
People from more than 40 different local organizations were on hand to brainstorm ideas for creating more affordable housing, transitional housing and support services for the homeless.
Rachel Krinsky from Interfaith Hospitality Network was among those present. "The idea of this conversation Thursday is not for people to sit back and listen, but for people to become engaged and bring their energy and their resources and their intelligence to bear on the problem."
Krinsky says the goal of the conversation is to come up with a community wide 10 year plan to end chronic homelessness.
