Dane County sheriff's deputies bring an inmate back to life.
John Kittel, 22, was arrested yesterday on charges of possession of heroin with intent to deliver. Last night, another inmate told officers Kittel had collapsed. When they checked, Kittel had no pulse.
Deputies and Medical staff did C–P–R, and got him to a hospital.
It was a similar medical call to Kittel's house yesterday that led to his arrest for heroin possession.
“Madison police were at residence where he was arrested because of a similar call that there was someone there in medical distress,” says Dane County Jail administrator Captain Mike Plumer. “When they got there he was not. He was up and walking around and fine. Because of their presence in the house they observed the evidence that resulted in him being arrested for that charge.”
Kittel is out of the hospital tonight, and back behind bars at the Dane County Jail.
