A UW-Madison professor charged with child enticement allegedly admitted to e–mailing naked photos of himself to a 14–year-old boy he met on the Internet.

According to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday, comparative literature professor Lewis Keith Cohen told police he sent the photos.

Cohen said he intended to act as a “big brother'' to the boy. He was arrested in Greendale on March 15 after trying to meet the boy for sex.

This after the boy's mother contacted police when she found the e–mails. Anne Schwartz, of the Milwaukee Police Department, says, "This mother did exactly the right thing. She saw that her son was engaged in some troubling contact on the Internet and so she called the police. That’s exactly what we want parents to do.”

Cohen is also charged with using a computer to facilitate a sex crime. He is due in Milwaukee County court on Friday. He is on paid administrative leave from the University pending an internal investigation.
