Wisconsin's commerce department will help a local community market its Lands' End call center.
The Dodgeville–based retailer announced last month its Cross Plains call center would close. The move leaves about 200 people without jobs.
Tony Hozeny, a spokesperson for the commerce department says people have inquired about the building, but it will take a while to find a tenant. “We'll work with 'Forward Wisconsin,' which markets our sites and buildings out of state and do the best we can to bring in a new company so we can put some jobs and investment back in Cross Plains.”
The commerce department lists the property on the Internet through a database on the "Forward Wisconsin" Web site.
