It wasn't the ending that the Badger were hoping for but that did not dampen the spirits of loyal fans.
At Babe's restaurant on Madison's West Side, the fans were undoubtedly disappointed in Sunday's score. But many pointed to the dark cloud's silver–lining... a stellar season.
One fan says, "Who would've thought we would go to the Elite Eight. Nobody picked us. 'Sport Illustrated' had us losing to Northern Iowa."
Another fan remembers, "How much fun the whole season was. I mean, Illinois number 1. All year long Badgers took a backseat to them but they played them tough and they played. They had a great year."
"They had a great season. Bo Ryan, I think did a fantastic job. Dealt with some injuries early in the season and just fell a little bit short to a little bit better team."
Many fans are already looking towards next season. Some are already hopeful that the Badgers will make a repeat trip to the Sweet Sixteen.
