A 24-year-old Beaver Dam mother is arrested for drunken driving with her one-week-old baby in the car. Authorities say she was three times the legal limit.
Katie Janisch was pulled over just after 1:30 Monday morning in the town of Bristol. She was driving the wrong way on U.S. Highway 151 and almost struck a semi trailer and a pickup truck.
The infant was in a newborn carrier, but was not belted in.
Janisch was cited for several violations, including having open beer in the car and not having a seat belt on the baby. She's also expected to face charges of drunken driving with a child in the car.
The baby has been handed over to the father.
