Cleaning Up After the Storm

Video will be available shortly.

Hit with hail, heavy winds, and lots of rain -- the mix of wild weather left behind chunks of ice, downed trees, and flooded streets. As the storm hit its stride and the sirens sounded, some went looking for cover while others went on tornado watch.

Marc Van Clever says, "I stepped outside, it was about 2:10. I noticed the wind change, and looked up about the one o'clock position in the sky, and sure enough there was a cyclonic cloud formation clockwise."

Viewers snapped shots of hail close ups that covered downtown streets, and there were lots of pictures of the dark looming clouds. But the storm really hit home for some people. Crews were called to one house in Monona to remove a tree from the roof, and near Bristol, roads were shut down after the winds turned a shed into a pile of rubble.

Late this afternoon area police did not have new damage calls to report, but crews did spend the day cleaning up downed trees and power lines.
