Former Vice–Presidential Candidate John Edwards was back in Madison Saturday, but poverty, not politics, was the issue at hand.
Edwards, along with Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, toured Madison's Harambee Center to learn more about the health care programs offered there.
This tour is just one stop of many Edwards is making across the country as he examines innovative and practical solutions to the problems facing the county's poor.
The former North Carolina senator says he is leading a comprehensive effort to help the 36-million Americans who live in poverty move into the middle class.
