Two Dead After Separate Weekend Crashes
One woman is dead following a car crash in Green County. It happened Saturday on Highway 11/81 near Juda.
Authorities say 76-year-old Patricia Faulkner of Davis, Illinois died after a car in which she was a passenger was struck by an oncoming pickup truck. The drivers of both vehicles sustained non–life threatening injuries.
Elsewhere, one person is dead after a head–on crash in Grant County.
It happened around nine Sunday morning on County Highway D in Platteville Township.
Authorities say a car crossed the centerline before striking an oncoming vehicle and killing its driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.
