A woman got into a car expecting a ride home Tuesday night. Instead she was driven across town and sexually assaulted.
Madison police say a 23-year-old woman got into a car on Carling Drive in Madison at about 10 p.m.
But instead of going home, police say the driver took her across town to the east side. Officer Mike Hanson says, "He took her to a barn where he sexually assaulted her and used an instrument to inflict lacerations to her."
According to police, the woman walked a good distance before she flagged down a motorist near Buckeye Road and called 911.
The suspect is described as a 47-year-old black male with puffy eyes and bad teeth. He was driving a blue Cadillac.
