Marine Killed in Iraq
A Marine with ties to Wisconsin has died in Iraq.
Corporal Garry Wesley Rimes died protecting another Marine April 1.
His mother lives in Milwaukee.
Rimes, 30, was an anti–tank gunner in the Second Marine Division.
The military reports that Rimes was fatally shot by insurgents while protecting medics who were treating an injured soldier in Ramadi.
